Telangana Assembly dissolution Updates

There is a likelihood of the long-awaited Telangana assembly dissolution over election timing to be reached within the next 24 hours. In the state's cabinet meeting intended to commence on 6th September at 1.30 a.m, a decision over the dissolution of the house in order to pave way for conducting the elections earlier is likely to be taken.

Most of the Telangana leaders deliberately refused to talk about the Telangana assembly dissolution on the 6th day of September in reference to strict orders from CMK Chandrasekhar Rao. However, a few hinted on the dissolution.

In an interview conducted on Tuesday, Vemulawada MLA told that owing to indicators of early polls, he had handed in proposals for projects to be undertaken with the funding of assembly Constituency Development Fund three days earlier.

The latest development that hints down to early polls is that the planning and development department has asked the Members of Legislative Assembly to submit their proposals to sanction and to also give hand out the funds budgeted to be used in various development work in their respective constituencies by Wednesday.

Telangana Election Updates 2019

TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) in alliance with AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen), emerged as a winner in first assembly elections of Telangana in 2014 by winning 63 seats out of total 119 seats. Congress was the second in the order with 21 seats followed by TDP with 15 seats. Current chief minister KCR (Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao) is confident that TRS would come into power again in 2019. TRS has no strong opposition party/ leader in the state. Further, TRS has rolled out red carpet for other influential politicians of other parties.

Congress is willing to join hands with TDP (Telegu Desam Party, which is the ruling party in the neighboring state Andhra Pradesh). The other small parties and independent players will have to form alliance. In order to form a strong opposition, Congress needs to come together with other parties/ independent candidates and select a strong leader against KCR.

With Congress losing Lok Sabha elections and major state elections, AICC (All India Congress Committee) president Rahul Gandhi and TPCC (Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy are first movers in announcing their manifesto in Telangana. Further BJP too has initiated a campaign to expose the failure of the TRS government. All this may work in favor of opposition marginally but is not enough for them to win the Telangana 2019 legislative assembly elections. Therefore, in absence of strong opposition, TRS is likely to come into power again in 2019.
